All applicants are required to read, understand, and agree to the UTMB® World Series Accreditation Terms and Conditions before submitting an accreditation application. There are many reasons for implementing an accreditation process, including prioritising spaces when numbers are limited, and ensuring world class events are represented by world class media. In order to consider the relative merit of every application and ensure that passes are fairly allocated, UTMB® World Series will apply these guidelines to each of its events. All applications will be considered and passes allocated based on the below priority order.
Priority order for photographers:
- Recognized international news agencies
- Recognizsed national photographic agencies
- National daily / Sunday newspapers
- Recognized specialist trail running photographers
- National newspapers
- International trail running magazines
- Other national and large regional newspapers, trail running magazines and photographic agencies
- Freelance trail running photographers
- Website photographers
Other priority order for written media:
- Recognized international news agencies
- National daily / Sunday newspapers
- Recognised national agencies
- International athletics magazines
- National athletics magazines
- Regional newspapers
- Freelance athletics writers
- Recognized internet athletics news sites
- Sport specialized magazines
- General interest magazines
- Other
Priority order for TV, radio and internet media:
- Event affiliated TV and radio rights holders
- National TV and radio non-rights holders
- Regional TV and radio
- National news sites
- Recognized internet trail running news sites
- Other broadcast organizations / programming requests (including internet applications)
Additional Information
Additional documentation UTMB® World Series event organizers reserve the right to seek additional documentation from applicants to support and validate their application for UTMB® World Series events media accreditation. UTMB® World Series event organizers reserve the right to refuse accreditation at any time.
Application deadlines All applications for events must be received 7 days prior to the start of the event. Applications received after the deadline may not be considered. You must contact presse@utmb.world
Confirmation All applicants will receive an email to confirm if their application has been successful at least 7 days before the event, if not before. This will be sent to the email address provided on the application form.
Personnel changes and non-attendance Media accreditation passes may be transferred between individuals within an agency/company, but such requests must be sent in advance to the press office email address.
If you are allocated a pass but are then unable to attend, please let UTMB® World Series press office know as soon as possible so that your pass can be reallocated.
Passes and bibs All media will be required to wear their accreditation passes at all times so they can be clearly identified by security.
All accredited photographers/camera operators will be required to wear bibs in restricted areas so that they can be clearly identified by security. Bibs for all photographers/camera operators must be collected from the event Marketing/Communication team. Bibs are allocated on a priority basis.
Media conduct
All media are required to conduct themselves appropriately during the event. This includes:
- Media should treat event staff, volunteers and other working colleagues with courtesy and respect. Any swearing or aggressive language will result in immediate removal of accreditation.
- Appropriate clothing must be worn that does not cause a health and safety risk.
- Photographs and broadcast footage must be taken in permitted areas only.
- Where there is a Mixed Zone, this area must be used for interviews only. Media should not request that athletes sign autographs, pose for photographs etc.
- Alcohol and other illegal substances are strictly prohibited in all media areas.
- Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in accreditation passes being denied.
