Crossed Paths is a monthly podcast bringing together elite and amateur runners in an open conversation about trail running, personal beliefs, and more.
To kick off this second season, Aurélien Dunand-Pallaz, welcomes Fanny Daros to his home. Together, they discuss their victories, their failures, their physical and mental preparation, their love for travel and discovery, not forgetting the enjoyment of good food!
Top Swedish elite runner Petter Engdahl, meets Doud Cousty. Connected like all trail runners through a shared respect for the mountains, the pair discuss their inspirations, how to balance work and their passion for the hills, the love for their families, and their mutual adoration of Bruce Springsteen.
Brazilian ultra runner, Fernanda Maciel is joined by Caroline Egan, a freelance photographer from California living in Annecy, France. The two dynamic outdoor lovers share how their families brought them to trail running and also somehow to France, where they both now live.
French trail runner Manon Bohard met another Manon, also passionate about trail running: Manon Baudoz. They both discussed the meaning of their passion for trail running, their various experiences on the races, the beauty of the mountains, judo, family and of course the recipe for the perfect risotto.
French elite trail runner and doctor, Thibaut Garrivier is joined by Elia Collignon, a runner for whom trail running has been transformative at different stages of her life. They speak about how to perform in different aspects of life, the importance of shame-free nutrition in trail running and the magic of a concerto.
Kilian Jornet is joined by Julien Loisy, a French banker who learned to balance his passion for running, biking and his work. They spoke about the beauty and dangers of the mountains, the responsibility of being admired and of course Stephen King's novels.
Martina Valmassoi, meets Charlotte Durieux, a French runner who's trying to make running a part of her ever-changing life! They spoke about their training, how to balance different sports and learning how to play the guitar.
Dani Moreno meets Benjamin Raffort, a former ski jumper who found a new connection to the mountains through running. They spoke about how sport has changed their life for better and worse, how they changed their mindset around it and, of course, about how running is faster than walking.
Adam Peterman, the rising American star of trail running, meets Louisa Moreau, a local runner from Chamonix who spoke about van life, how they have dealt with injuries and running with their dogs.
Canadian runner Marianna Hogan meets Yvan Cognasse, a French runner who is passionate about performance. They spoke about keeping their running and work life separate, how to inspire others and the importance of good coffee
I really enjoyed the conversation with Doud and how we found that our passion for the mountains and trail running made our paths converge in unexpected ways.
