August is set to be the highlight of the UTMB® World Series season. The pinnacle of the year, HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc, will host the Circuit Finals from 24–30 August, bringing together the world's best trail runners in Chamonix for an exceptional week of racing. Beyond the competition itself, Quito Trail by UTMB® continues to drive a range of initiatives benefiting both the region and its local communities. Gauja Trail by UTMB®: A historic first for the baltic states

From an environmental perspective, Gauja Trail by UTMB® is partnering with the Latvian Nature Conservation Agency, which will host a mobile educational exhibit in the event village to help participants discover the rich ecosystems of Gauja National Park. In addition, a shuttle network will connect the different race venues, encouraging participants to reduce car use and helping to minimise the event’s impact on the natural environments it passes through.

Elite Competition on the 50K and 100K

From 24 to 30 August, the event will bring together 10,000 runners, including 26% women, in Chamonix for a unique week of trail running around the Mont Blanc massif. Featuring eight race formats : YCC (15 km), ETC (15 km), MCC (40 km), TDS® (145 km), PTL® (300 km) the event crosses France, Italy, and Switzerland, offering an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Alps. HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc continues its commitment towards a more responsible event

True to its commitment to more responsible trail running, the HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc continues to develop initiatives in close collaboration with local authorities to reduce its impact on the territory and help preserve the Mont-Blanc massif. The number of participants has been capped for more than ten years in consultation with local municipalities, while the UTMB® Mobility program continues to expand to reduce car travel through an extensive shuttle network, additional train services between Saint-Gervais and Chamonix, and free access to selected cross-border transport routes. The event also works to protect biodiversity by adapting certain race courses, introducing mandatory red-light headlamp mode through the Contamines-Montjoie Nature Reserve to minimize disturbance to nocturnal wildlife, and deploying around thirty environmental ambassadors to raise awareness among participants while helping maintain more than 1,000 kilometres of trails before and after the races.

The HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc is also committed to making trail running more inclusive and supportive. Through its Adaptive program, 58 athletes with disabilities, up from 37 in 2025, will be able to experience the event under adapted conditions. The event also works to promote greater equality by implementing practical measures that address the needs of female runners, including the provision of feminine hygiene kits, dedicated changing areas at all aid stations, and dedicated meeting spaces for participants, as well as the Path to Parenthood initiative, which supports athletes before, during and after pregnancy. Solidarity bibs also enable participants to support charitable organizations through fundraising during registration: in 2025, €445,000 was donated to around twenty organizations, the majority of which are based within the territories crossed by the event. At the same time, the event continues to reduce its environmental footprint through increased sourcing from local producers, vegetarian aid stations and a waste reduction and recovery policy, with 79% of waste recovered in 2025.
