Dacia is increasing its level of involvement in the UTMB World Series in Europe and will become the title partner of the finals now called the "Dacia UTMB Mont-Blanc".
The enhanced partnership will also introduce a sustainable mobility plan, including a new carpooling scheme for athletes travelling to French events.
Bound by shared values and a strong partnership since the start of the UTMB World Series in 2022, Dacia and the UTMB® World Series are extending and enhancing their partnership for the next three years. Dacia affirms its commitment to the UTMB World Series by becoming a Premier Partner of the European Series as well as the Title Partner of the UTMB World Series Finals, now called "Dacia UTMB® Mont-Blanc." This world-leading trail running event will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2023, and attracts over 10,000 runners each year.
The UTMB World Series and Dacia share numerous fundamental values such as sustainability, inclusivity, and an ambitious approach to mobility for all. The UTMB® World Series finds its roots in a passion for the mountains and a respect for the environment, offering trail runners from around the world the opportunity to share the UTMB® adventure through events held in Asia, Oceania, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
Aligned with UTMB Group’s commitment to sustainability, Dacia is committed to their own sustainability mission, by making vehicles that are designed to be light, fuel-efficient, and equipped with technologies aimed at reducing fuel consumption and GHG emissions.
Mobility for all, accessibility to outdoor activities, and the joy of connecting with nature through trail running.
In conjunction with Dacia, the UTMB World Series is developing a sustainable mobility plan for its French events to reduce the transportation impact generated and optimize the travel of the runners and spectators travelling to the events and on site. An improved shuttle service will be offered at Dacia UTMB Mont-Blanc 2023, taking runners to the start of their races and enhancing spectator's travel. The transport capacity will increase by 30% compared to 2022, with 50 additional shuttles compared to last year, totaling 200 shuttles, and the goal of transporting 100% of the runners and 100% of the companions throughout the week. Dacia will contribute to this sustainable mobility plan by providing the organizational vehicles, including the Dacia Spring 100% electric, for short trips.
In addition, a carpooling initiative will be launched during the Dacia UTMB Mont-Blanc 2023, and is also planned to be rolled out during the Nice Côte d'Azur by UTMB® which will bring together over 4,000 runners from September 28 to October 1. Dacia will collaborate in its promotion to raise awareness and encourage runners, companions, and volunteers to use it.
This additional support from Dacia confirms the coherence of the partnership between the two brands, with the aim of providing the community with simple and easy solutions to better connect with nature in a responsible manner.
Catherine Poletti : “The Partnership with Dacia will help us invest more improving the sustainable mobility of the UTMB World Series.
