SKYLINE SCOTLAND RETURNS IN 2027 BY JOINING THE UTMB® WORLD SERIES
A legacy continues within the UTMB® World Series
In the same spirit, Skyline Scotland by UTMB will also collaborate with organisations such as TrailFam to inspire the next generation of trail runners and introduce trail running to a younger audience.
Founder Shane Ohly will remain closely involved to preserve the identity and values that have made Skyline Scotland what it is today.

Skyline Scotland is an exceptionally complex event to deliver to the highest standards, and very few event organisers have the expertise to take on such a challenge successfully.
What impressed me most about the UTMB® World Series is that they have both the technical expertise and the operational experience required not only to organise an event of this complexity safely, but also to truly invest in it and support its long-term development.

With Skyline Scotland joining the UTMB® World Series, the circuit continues to expand in the United Kingdom, reinforcing its ambition to build events that are deeply rooted in their local territories, developed alongside local communities, and committed to preserving the natural environments in which they take place.
All runners who were registered for the cancelled 2026 edition will have their entry honoured for the 2027 edition. Further information regarding entry transfers and the different race options will be communicated directly to the affected participants in the coming months.
