Hi! My name is Eline and I have been running for more than 30 years. I have been a competitive track athlete for most of my running career. I have run the Dutch national championships finals many times, the Central American and Caribbean championships and the World Masters Athletics (indoor & outdoor), in the 400m-800m-1500m. I have slowly transitioned to the trails when I moved to Colorado in 2014 and to Vermont in 2018. Meanwhile, I have also competed in triathlons (Ironman) and in winter I enjoy mountaineering in all sorts of ways (XC ski, tour, downhill, snowboard, etc). I am a mother of 3 daughters. Especially after having delivered my 3rd at age 40 during the Covid pandemic (a busy period for a public health professor), it's been a journey to find my new long distance running routine on the trails, juggling between being a mom and a fulltime professor at the University of Vermont College of Medicine (USA). It was not until late summer 2024, that I decided to go back to racing and on the trails from here on! I find my inspiration in the many age-group women who still show that the job can be done, and very well too! My goals are to stay healthy and keep working on progress while enjoying everything nature has to offer!
