Orçun Madran received his undergraduate degree in Information Management, M.Sc. in Management Information Systems and PhD in Educational Technology. He is currently working as a faculty member at the Department of Information Management at Hacettepe University. He is also working as a Chapter Lead of Türkiye at Creative Commons. He is teaching programming languages, database management systems and machine learning related courses and his main research areas include open science, open licenses, open culture and open education. Dr. Madran has established and managed the distance education infrastructure at Başkent University. He also worked as a coordinator at the Department of Distance Education and head of Educational Technology Office at Atılım University.
