The first episode featuring 2022 CCC winner, Petter Engdahl is already live on major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, Deezer and UTMB.WORLD
UTMB® World Series has today launched a new monthly podcast, Crossed Paths, bringing together elite and amateur runners in an open conversation about trail running, personal beliefs, and more.
Each month two trail runners will meet to discuss what the sport means to them. They will share their passions, interests, beliefs and get to know each other along the way, taking the listeners on the journey with them.
In the first episode which is available to listen to now, top Swedish elite runner Petter Engdahl, who won both the 100km CCC race at UTMB® Mont-Blanc and the 72km race at Transvulcania by UTMB® in 2022, meets Doud Cousty, a French outdoor enthusiast and father of two. Connected like all trail runners through a shared respect for the mountains, the pair discuss their inspirations, how to balance work and their passion for the hills, the love for their families, and their mutual adoration of Bruce Springsteen.
Petter Engdahl said: “I really enjoyed the conversation with Doud and how we found that our passion for the mountains and trail running made our paths converge in unexpected ways.”
Available on the third week of each month, upcoming episodes are set to feature:
- Adam Peterman, Western States® 100-Mile Endurance Run and The Canyons Endurance Runs™ by UTMB® winner, 2022
- Fernanda Maciel, Brazilian runner with 4 podiums at UTMB
- Marianne Hogan, first Canadian runner to reach the podium at UTMB, 2022
- Courtney Dauwalter, American and top ranked female runner in the UTMB Index, who won the UTMB in 2019 and set a UTMB course record in 2021
- Killian Jornet, Top ranked male runner in the UTMB Index, 4 times winner of the UTMB 100-mile race
Listeners are invited to be part of each episode by sharing the things they most want to ask the elite athlete on the @utmbworldseries social media channels prior the recording of each episode. The amateur runner will act as the voice of the running community by relaying the most interesting questions.
The first season of Crossed Paths will run for eight months from April to November, with a new episode available on the third week of each month. Produced in partnership with SportCast Studios, the first episode is now available on all major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, Deezer and UTMB.WORLD.
