I started running more regularly about 8 years ago. 7 years ago, at the age of 59, my daughter challenged me to a half marathon (told her that was crazy). Since then I have aimed to do at least 1 half marathon/year to maintain some fitness.I have also now done 4 local trail runs, all up in the snowy mountains, Australia, and I'm trying to convince my daughter to do one with me! I shall run my first marathon in 3 years' time, when I'm 70 and semi-retired.
