UTMB WS

Puerto Vallarta, located on Mexico’s Pacific coast, will host a brand-new event from 28 to 30 October, 2022. A city defined by the natural charm of its beaches which are surrounded by the remarkable Sierra Madre mountains, Puerto Vallarta México by UTMB® will highlight the best the region has to offer. Taking runners on a journey from the deep pine mountain forests through impressive jungle and ancient colonial towns, while following endless rivers to the beautiful bay of Puerto Vallarta, this new event will have an authentic Mexican spirit across 20km, 55km, 100km, and 100-mile distances.

Ereno

UTMB WS

Ereno is a 20 km race with 940 D + and a time limit of aprox 6hrs 00 min. The departure and arrival will be on the Malecón in Puerto Vallarta. Runners will go through the town, getting in the jungle with its dense forests, its large number of plants and vines. The route runs along the Cuale River at the end until we meet the Pacific Ocean to cross the finish line.

Nakawé

UTMB WS

Nakawé is a race of approximately 50 km with 2,000D+ and a time limit of 12hrs 00 min. The start and finish line will be located at the Malecon of Puerto Vallarta. The final section of the route crosses the Island of Cuale River, with plenty of handicraft shops and restaurants. From there the runners will run towards the Pacific Ocean and travel along the beautiful beach promenade surrounded by artistic sculptures all the way to the finish line.

Hikuri

UTMB WS

Hikuri is a 100 km race with 3,000D+ and a time limit of 22 hrs 00 min. It begins in the small village of Mascota and it ends at the Malecon of Puerto Vallarta. The route runs through the mountains of Cerro del Cabro and Piedra Bola and then descends to the riverbed of the Cuale River and crosses the jungle to Puerto Vallarta.

Wixárika

UTMB WS

Wixárika is an emblematic race course that begins in the Sierra Madre Occidental, descends to enter the jungle and continues until runners meet the Pacific Ocean. It is a race of approximately 170 km with 6,500D+ and a time limit of 40 hrs 00 min, which begins in the little village of San Sebastián del Oeste and ends in the heart of Puerto Vallarta. With all kinds of terrain, vegetation and weather, runners will enjoy technical sections, wide easy-to-follow roads, and complex single tracks through agave plantations, rivers and the jungle.
