About the runner

Hi, I’m James — a trail and ultra runner from the UK who seems to have accidentally fallen in love with running very long distances for fun. I’m not the fastest off the line, but I pride myself on pacing well and finishing strong when everyone else is questioning their life choices. I enjoy technical trails, big views, and the unique camaraderie that comes from sharing snacks in the rain at hour ten. Outside of running, I balance training with work, family life and trying to explain to non-runners why this is actually enjoyable. Always learning, always improving, and always convinced I’ve packed enough gels… until I haven’t.
